One Fire Many Hearts - representing the shared spirit and diverse experiences of First Nations LGBTIQA+SB people across our communities.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, +, plus Sistergirls and Brotherboys. Sistergirls and Brotherboys are culturally specific identities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who chose to use them. Their definitions vary from community to community
The “+” is used to recognise the many diverse forms of sex, genders, sexualities, & identities that exist within our communities. It affirms that not all lived experiences or identities fit neatly into fixed categories—all are valued, & we see you.
While the project centres First Nations LGBTIQA+SB people, we welcome participation from family members, service providers, and allies who want to create safer, more inclusive communities. The OFMH endorses an NT-based engagement.
